FOR HIM FOR HER – Part One……. From the Stillness, we can be present and deeply connected.

FOR HIM- FOR HER Just imagine a jar of muddy water all shaken up.  It’s cloudy, unclear and difficult to see through.  Have you ever experienced this feeling in life?  Feeling stuck and unsure what to do or even a direction to go in?  By allowing some stillness and time the mud will sink to the bottom of the jar and the water will become clear.  My invitation is to take some time and practice getting still and see what comes for you once the ‘mud’ has settled.  From stillness we can be present and as we are present and more aware clarity emerges. I created this short story from a moment of stillness whilst sitting underneath a beautiful peach tree.   From the stillness, emerges deep presence and awareness, your eyes gaze, alert but still. Your first peach, swaying peacefully, tranquilly in the wind; her life, like clinging branches of a tree, the sun and rain having ripened her, she is blushing with skin tones of oranges, reds and the deep greens of leaves that occasionally hide her irresistible view. She  looks intoxicating, her fragrance divine. You gaze for a moment or two, wondering what she may feel like to hold in your hands, to touch the softness of the fruit against your skin, to feel her in the palm of your hand. So start to get still, enjoy every second of this moment, gaze and start to connect with this precious fruit; notice your breath, notice the heat of your skin, look deeply; wonder what tender juiciness is within the sun drenched flesh. As you get present, reach out towards her. Now really take this precious moment, connect to the love you feel deep inside yourself for you, and breathe… As your finger tips tremble with the excitement of the unknown, feel the energy sparking from you towards her, and now gently pull her from the tree. That first touch; you hold her for what feels like an eternity, your senses dance within your body, breath deepens and fills your lungs, resounding in your ears. She is firm yet soft, warm yet cool, her skin is velvety, inviting you in as you move her nearer to your lips. Your senses start to move quicker, your mouth is dryer, your lips tremble with the excitement. Your mind is still, calm, like that moment before a storm. It can only think of this moment, it has no memory. As you slow your motion down, you open your mouth and sink yourself into the flesh, an explosion of taste, texture, aromas, juice, fill you!!! For the love and memory of the beautiful peach, honour her journey from seed to fruit, honour the people that have loved and nurtured her, honour yourself for stillness, honour for both in this moment.   Remember…..stillness is a practice, give it time, give it patience and don’t seek, just be.  See what comes from a place of curiosity.  You may be surprised.
